WHAT IS THE SALINE LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE?
It is a unique learning opportunity which brings together a diverse group of people to:

Saline Leadership Institute (SLI) is not a lecture series. It is an engaging learning experience where each session builds on the previous ones to create a group of inspired leaders.
SLI combines the talents of experts to offer cutting-edge leadership training in an interactive and fun learning environment. Sessions have different instructors, selected for their knowledge, skills and commitment to the Saline area.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
The program attracts people who are interested in developing leadership skills and becoming more involved in the community. Past SLI participants have come from: * Local government * Business and Industry * Education * Churches * Non-profit Groups * Individual citizens. Any individual interested in personal development and improving their leadership skills is encouraged to apply.

This comprehensive, advanced training program begins in September 18 & 19, 2025 with a two-day retreat (no overnight) and continues through April with 7 monthly training sessions on the 2nd Thursday of the month. Various organizations in the community hosts the SLI sessions.

Registration Dates & Tuition Fees
- The early bird registration fee of $545 is due by July 31, 2025.
- The regular registration fee of $595 is due by August 23, 2025.
- The deadline to apply for the Leslee Niethammer Scholarship is July 15, 2025.
The Leslee Niethammer Scholarship
The Leslee Niethammer scholarship was established in honor of Leslee Niethammer who died on March 11, 2016. Since SLI’s inception, Leslee, in addition to her responsibilities as the Director of The Saline District Library, was the person behind the scenes managing all of the administration for the program. This need-based scholarship was established for individuals who may not have the financial resources to attend.

Continuing Educations Credits
Looking for continuing education credits? Participants who complete this training program are eligible to receive 6.9 credits.
