When Does It Start? Where Is It Held? Cost?
This comprehensive, advanced training program begins in September with a two-day retreat and continues through April with 7 monthly training sessions. Various organizations in the community hosts the SLI sessions.Tuition Fees
- The early bird registration fee of $545 is due by July 15, 2024
- The regular registration fee of $595 is due by August 12, 2024.
- The deadline to apply for the Leslee Niethammer Scholarship is July 15, 2024.
The Leslee Niethammer Scholarship
The Leslee Niethammer scholarship was established in honor of Leslee Niethammer who died on March 11, 2016. Since SLI’s inception, Leslee, in addition to her responsibilities as the Director of The Saline District Library, was the person behind the scenes managing all of the administration for the program. She made sure the classes were well organized and presented each year. This need-based scholarship was established for individuals who may not have the financial resources to attend. What is Saline Leadership Institute?
It is a unique learning opportunity which brings together a diverse group of people to:- Develop skills to grow professionally and personally.

Our Planning Team
The Planning Team is comprised of volunteers from past Saline Leadership Institute classes. This team works as the steering committee in overseeing the direction and growth of SLI.
